“When I was in high school, I struggled with physical weakness and depression. I lived in a hostel, far away from my family. I ate street food to cope with school stress and mental health issues. Although I was a science student, I understood very little about the relationship between food and the body. I woke up when I couldn’t do 10 push-ups and run laps as a punishment to my team,” he said.
Om decided to start his own weight change journey when he weighed 85 kg in 2019. “I joined a nearby gym just so I could run laps without getting tired. So my journey started in February 2019 , I weighed 85 kg, the heaviest I have ever been. Around that time my sister introduced me to Fittr, a platform where I learned the concept of calories and the importance of food. which have good nutrition, especially the intake of protein,” he said.
His schedule is busy and inconsistent exercise habit made his transition very slow. In more than 4 years he could lose only 8 kgs. Signing up with him was the best decision I ever made as he played a major role in helping me achieve my fitness goals. He taught me discipline and responsibility in my fitness journey. Because of these, I was able to achieve this change, in a healthy way. I started my weight loss journey. body at 85 kgs and now I am 60 kgs. Under his guidance, I lost 25 kgs, and now I am living a healthy life. What Motivated You To Join This Journey?
“In high school or Class 12, we were punished. Where we had to go around the school campus and do 10 push-ups. I realized I couldn’t even do 10 push-ups or run a lap (it would 400 meters). This experience, which stayed with me and my struggles to deal with physical breakdown and stress, inspired me to take control of my body,” Om shared.
What Are Some of the Biggest Challenges You’ve Faced Along the Way?
“ During my weight loss journey, staying consistent with my diet and exercise plans was very difficult. The challenge became even more difficult during final exams or celebrations. People used to shame me because I was fat. The negative comments got to me a lot and damaged my reputation. Overcoming my lack of knowledge about food and training were the biggest hurdles to overcome,” Om shared.
How Did You Stay Motivated Throughout Your Weight Loss Journey?
Discipline and accountability played an important role in Om’s transformation. “I overcame my problems by being disciplined and responsible.
